Common questions
- Why show the bars?
- The most common accident in recording is finding out afterwards that nothing was captured. The bars let you see the sound arriving. If it is nearly silent when you finish, it says so.
- Which formats can I save as?
- MP3 or WAV. MP3 is the default and travels well by message or email. If you will carry on editing with the audio cutter or joiner, choose lossless WAV.
- It says the microphone is unavailable.
- Click the lock in the address bar and allow microphone access. Another program holding the microphone can also block it.
- The sound is distorted.
- When the input is too loud the bars turn red and the sound breaks up. Try speaking a little further from the microphone.
