Common questions
- Can I not just take 10% off the gross?
- No. The VAT inside 110,000 won is 10,000 — but 10% of 110,000 is 11,000. To pull VAT out of a gross amount you divide by 1.1.
- Can I change the rate?
- Yes. It defaults to Korea’s 10%; type another rate if you need one.
- How are sub-unit amounts handled?
- They are rounded for display. How a real tax invoice handles them depends on the trade convention and the system issuing it.
